Steve Hauser was recently recognized by an opposing team's coach for his random act of sportsmanship!

"I would like to nominate Steve Hauser, St. Paul 8th grade girls softball, for a random act of sportsmanship.  We played our final game of the season today, June 26th.  SSP was the home team, St Paul was up by 12 runs entering the bottom of the 5th inning, and time had expired.  The game should have been over because we couldn't catch up, but our girls really wanted to bat one last time since it was their final game for 8th grade.  Steve agreed to let us bat and finish out the bottom of the inning.  Our girls batted, had fun, and ended the season on a positive note.  What a great act of sportsmanship he showed our girls. That is what CYC is all about!"
